Frogs Spawn

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Nursery and Reception Year: 2016 - 2017

Bethany brought us some frogs spawn to look at from her Grandad's garden pond. We looked at it through magnifying glasses and discussed what we could see. Some of the tadpoles had emerged from their egg and we saw some feathery gills that we found out last week help the tadpoles to breath under water.

We did some lovely observational drawings of what we could see using just a pencil, using it to add dark and light tones to our pictures.
